In April 2020 the team at Bakers Delight and Bunbury Forum joined together to bring some much needed Easter joy to those in our community who were working hard through the pandemic. At that time, they thought the simple gesture of giving out Hot Cross Buns and Easter Eggs would be a one-off event.
Since then, they’ve shared Joy to the residents of a near-by retirement village, the local Police and Hospital staff many times throughout the year.
And they’re at it again.
This Easter, staff from Bakers Delight and Bunbury Forum will give up their time to visiting the hard-working team at the Bunbury Police Station and Bunbury Hospital to deliver goodies, smiles and joy.
“An act that seems so simple, such as giving a few Hot Cross Buns to those who are working hard across the busy long weekend can actually make a huge difference” says Katrina Targett, owner of Bakers Delight Bunbury Forum
The team at Bakers Delight and Bunbury Forum have found that any gesture, however big or small, an brighten someone’s day immensely.
“When we arrive at the Police Station or Hospital, the staff are so grateful to have a little treat, but to us it’s about thanking them for their hard work keeping us safe over the long weekend. And not just the long weekend, over the last couple of years which have been so challenging!” Katrina continued.
For more than 40 years Bunbury Forum has been the heart of the community. Offering Bunbury local’s a place to come together and join in a community spirit that is unique to our corner of the South West. They’re keen to continue spreading community spirit and joy wherever they can.
